St. Martin's Island is a small island in the northeast part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula, and forming the southernmost part of Bangladesh. The local name of this most beautiful coral island in Bangladesh, is "Narical Gingira", meaning 'Coconut Island', with beaches fringed with coconut palms and bountiful marine life.
